Our family has worked on the water since the 1710s. Three Little Spats Oyster Company carries that tradition forward. It started as a family oyster farm at Permuda Island in Stump Sound. Today we have expanded to the Bay River, North River, Adams Creek, and Jarrett Bay. We plant, grow, harvest and process oysters in Sneads Ferry, Beaufort and Bayboro.

CAROLINA GOLD JOINS THE FAMILY

In September 2025, Three Little Spats took over Carolina Gold Oyster Company. Carolina Gold was founded on the belief that oyster farming could protect our wetlands and still provide a living on the water, and that belief is a big part of why it was the right fit for us. We've kept the Carolina Gold name, the waters and the quality that made it a favorite. We're proud to grow it alongside our Core Sound oysters which joined the family in early 2026.
